Are you having difficulties with anxiety, stress or depression? Is this affecting your relationships? Concerned that you are having to use alcohol, marijuana or tobacco to cope? It could be that your life is at a turning point. If you have tried talking with friends and family, reading self-help books and websites, and you need to go deeper, therapy may be appropriate for you now.
You have the ability to change, no matter how stuck you may feel. Even if problems are long-standing, my focused approach can help shift your perspective, and start you on a journey of healing.
The mind and body are completely interconnected. We are also living in the context of families, communities, and the wider world. For these reasons I will take a holistic approach to my work with you, keeping in mind that you are a human being who is living in a complex physical, emotional, and cultural context.
I firmly believe that my job is to work myself out of a job with each of my clients. To that end, I will not only focus on assisting you in achieving your personal goals as quickly as possible, but I will also regularly share tools with you that you can use in between sessions and after our work comes to an end, empowering you with the same information that I have and use.
I work with individuals and couples. My practice includes teens as well as adults.
I welcome your inquiry, and would be happy to meet with you for a free, 30-minute, initial consultation so that we can discern whether it would be appropriate for us to work together. If you are ready to arrange an initial consultation, click the green scheduling button below to go directly to my calendar. If you would like more information first, please send me an email to info@ruthcoopermft.com or visit my FAQ page.
