Are you having difficulties with anxiety, stress or depression? Is this affecting your relationships? Concerned that you are having to use alcohol, marijuana or tobacco to cope? It could be that your life is at a turning point. If you have tried talking with friends and family, reading self-help books and websites, and you need to go deeper, therapy may be appropriate for you now.
You have the ability to change, no matter how stuck you may feel. Even if problems are long-standing, my focused approach can help shift your perspective, and start you on a journey of healing.
My goal is to not only assist you in achieving your goals, but to also share tools with you that you can use to live more enjoyably and effectively.
I work with individuals and couples. My practice includes teens as well as adults.
The mind-body system is completely interconnected, and we are interconnected with the people in our families and social network, and with the greater environment. For this reason I use a holistic approach to address your issues. We will look at the whole picture and assess what areas of your life need attention.
I welcome inquiries, and am happy to meet so we can decide whether it would be appropriate for us to work together. For more information, please visit the FAQ page. If you are ready to arrange a session or would like a free, 30-minute initial consultation by phone or in person, please e-mail me at info@ruthcoopermft.com.
Please note that due to COVID-19, all my sessions are by video chat or phone, so that you can feel relaxed and safe and work with me from wherever you feel comfortable. This also means that I can work with people residing anywhere in California.
